CURRICULUM includes:
Level 2 - SAQA ID 65750 (137 credits)
Level 3 - SAQA ID 65749 (128 credits)
Level 4 - SAQA ID 65729 (155 credits)
FULL-TIME PROGRAMME
18 months formal hours at CA and 18 months experiential learning *
LEARNERSHIP (3 YEARS)
One day per week at CA and full time learnership at a salon is the prerequisite experiential learning *
EVENING CLASSES (2 YEARS)
After-hours classes, twice a week at CA and the experiential learning for 18 months *
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
*Compulsory experiential learning under supervision of a SA qualified hairdresser is a prerequisite. For CA to acknowledge the full programme, all formal and informal practical hours must be completed. Only then MAY you apply to do the trade test.
